A school for serious practitioners

Shiatsu Pro was founded by experienced shiatsu instructors who were tired of watching weekend workshops produce practitioners who could follow a routine but could not explain a single decision behind it. The school was built on a different standard: a structured, curriculum-based education covering technique, anatomy, and supervised clinical practice — the hours and the depth that professional bodywork actually requires.

The curriculum

Our program progresses through three stages:

  • Foundations: shiatsu history and theory, meridian study, and the anatomy and physiology that make pressure work safe and effective.
  • Technique: hundreds of hands-on classroom hours — kneading, thumb and palm work, positioning, and the assessment skills that turn a sequence into a treatment.
  • Clinical practice: supervised student clinic, where real clients with real complaints are treated under instructor guidance until your judgment holds on its own.

After graduation

We support the transition into practice, not just the diploma: guidance on professional licensure and local regulatory requirements, business fundamentals for building a client base, and an alumni network of working practitioners. Our graduates practice in wellness centers, spas, and private clinics internationally, and partner centers that hire from our program know exactly what a Shiatsu Pro education covers.

Our standards

Shiatsu is a complementary practice, and we are precise about what it is and is not: our graduates never present pressure therapy as a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment, and the curriculum teaches referral and scope as core skills, not footnotes. Learning a touch discipline takes time, repetition, and honest feedback — that is what we sell.

If you want to master the art of pressure with depth and discipline, Shiatsu Pro offers the training professional bodywork deserves — and your future clients deserve more.
