Avi Armoza, Shiatsu ProWelcome to Shiatsu Pro's website!

We are professional Shiatsu and Massage Therapists, with over 15 years of clinical experience. While Massage Therapy is very common and known here in the US, we would like to introduce you to the miracles of Shiatsu Therapy:

Like other forms of Asian bodywork, Shiatsu is based on the principles of Chinese medicine and is designed to restore the flow of energy in the body. It's known especially for its use of rhythmic pressure along energy channels. Practitioners lean their own body weight into the recipient's body to improve energy flow and the circulation of blood and lymph.
We believe in the Chinese saying: “A good Doctor is one who has no (ill) patients…” by keeping our clients balanced, healthy and living their life to their full potential!
Everyone can benefit from Shiatsu Therapy. The Shiatsu experience will leave you with a deep sensation of rejuvenation in all layers of energy: Physically, mentally and emotionally.

Shiatsu is suitable for people of all ages. There is no need to disrobe during a Shiatsu Therapy session.

Shiatsu Pro's scope of services includes the following techniques:

  • Shiatsu Therapy - Shiatsu is a physical therapy that supports and strengthens the body’s natural ability to heal and balance itself. It works on the whole person - not just a physical body, but also a psychological, emotional and spiritual being.
  • Deep Tissue Massage  - A technique that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue.
It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders.
  • Swedish Massage  - This technique increases the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles. Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation without increasing heart load.
  • Sports Massage - Helps athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training. Sports massage emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons.
  • Pre/Post Pregnancy Massage - This technique is designed specifically for pregnant women.  Pregnancy is a time in which a woman’s body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical, mental, and emotional changes.
Post pregnancy massage helps Mom’s body mind and soul restore its own natural balance.
  • Infant Massage – This method of bodywork designed specifically to promote the
healthy development of your infant.  Caring human touch is crucial for a healthy
    thriving baby.
  • Chair Massage  - This technique is the most accessible, affordable yet efficient, relaxing and invigorating.
  • Neck Release  - The Neck connects between the head and the body, between our physical and mental energies. Using a Shiatsu or Massage Therapy techniques will release the tension that is stored in the upper body and neck area.
  • Hot Stone Therapy – This technique uses heated smooth, flat stones that are placed on key points on the body.
  • Trigger Point Therapy   - Research shows that sustained manual trigger point therapy is by far the most effective means of getting rid of chronic myofascial (muscle and tissue) pain.
  • Lymphatic Drainage Massage   - a therapeutic massage treatment. The massage uses very light pressure and long, gentle, rhythmic strokes to increase the flow of lymph and reduce toxins in your body.
  • Therapeutic Music   - Therapeutic Music is live music played for a patient to create a healing environment. Therapeutic music can relieve mental and physical stress and calms the mind, body and spirit. It can reduce anxiety and promote feelings of well-being and mental clarity.
  • Oncology   - Touch is especially needed during illness, and oncology massage is a complimentary therapy to mainstream medicine. It is a powerful expression of care, acceptance and emotional nourishment. For the person receiving treatment for cancer or recovering from it, massage takes on other meanings. Instead of being used to work out knots, detoxify the body, or increase the range of motion, massage can lower anxiety and pain, improve energy and decrease nausea. It can also improve neuropathy. Some benefits people have described from receiving these massages include feeling whole again and rebuilding hope.
